图片
Lotus seed... a little boys eat this raw!! aigooo~~~ bitter flavours unknow fruits...a bits sour, tasted like grape. Day 2 in Cambodia, Uncle Tie decided to bring us to Sihanoukville, fromerly know as Kompong Son. A seaside town featuring Cambodia's best know beaches. After having our 1st breakfast at Phnom Penh, We haeding to Kompong Son. It's take about 4 hours to the destination. Before we depart to beach, Uncle Tie bought us to the nearby market called ''Phsar Leu'' Market. He bought a lots of seafood including prawns (4kg), crabs (4kg) & sotong (2 Kg). I thought he worries the food not enough for 4 big size teenagers hahah!! He bought to shop in front market. Actually he bring it to cook in a shop and paid for labour cost.  Good idea right? Picnic beside the beach with the wonderful seafood meal! Thumbs up

::: Fried banana, the khmer style :::

图片
Deep Fried Banana, by the khmer way! Mouth watering~~~ In Cambodian, street food is everywhere!!!  It's a common snacks which can be easily found in Malaysia all year round. While waiting Uncle Tie, we have aimed on the stall selling deep fried cassava....  So we bought one, then two... here the khmer style they actually served with sugar!!  Don't doubt, it is sugar! Haha!  I was reminding our Malaysia roti canai kosong, which served with sugar too! =) Deep fried banana, very common to found in Malaysia in the market or stalls beside road, or anywhere! Cambodian style is rather interesting... I was standing there seeing the whole procedure for this killing snacks! 1st, Lady boss pilled off the banana skin then squeezed the banana into a long and thin shape using a 'plastic knife' in a creative way, then wrapped some flour and fried! I was mouth watering. Don't u? You can get two for only 1500 riel. But still, do u ever see roasted banana ...

::: Dine on duck :::

图片
Dine on "Duck" this morning. Before depart to our destination, we had have a great breakfast at a Chinese restaurant. What made me assumed that was a Chinese restaurant?? The red cloth table... though... The shop is famous with the roasted duck, diner can choose either served with rice or noodles here. Found that Cambodians enjoy rice served with sliced pork or chicken with pickled vegetables or a noodle dish, noodle soup. Roasted duck, wanton & dumpling noodle egg soup, drooling~~  tasted like the wantons, juicy meat wrapped inside ....arhhh ~ thumbs up! 100% fruit juice...pomelo, sweet & sour!  We found this here, deep fried dough sticks but in smaller size. Local dipping in the soup, as side dish.  XoXo

Did you fancy egg??? In Cambodia, you can easily found this kinds of egg which is a fertilized embryo that boiled alive ad eaten in the shell.  It is commonly sold as street food especially in Vietnam, Cambodia, Philippine  and often served with beer. Here, we got two type of boiled egg, quail egg and duck egg. After dinner, Keang have bought us to the nearby market to bought this. Quail egg... high cholesterol & high protein contains. I din't try somehow, after peal the egg shell s how its beak, feathers or claws, and the bones the visual impact was WOW!!  My friends they said it tasted like egg we usually eat. But its more harder cos inside got the ungrow ing up little chick. In Cambodia, locals eat while still warm and s erved with lime juice, chili and pepper you can see the egg yolk and egg white there... eggs was  not properly incubate after nine to twelve days was chosen to make this local snacks!!

The design of the building is rather nice and inside you'll find the shops grouped according to the architecture in the middle - jewelry shops - the alleys away from the circle comprise on one hand of garment sellers, on the other hand of electrical/games stuffs, and so on and so forth.  Shopping around you won't be hard to find the busy women which put kind of basket on their heard...  here we go... diam sam... it's a    This is great for a visit, soooo much shopping you can do, it is fun!!
